This is a unique opportunity to combine the tranquil scenery of the Boka Kotorska with the completely different experience of sailing out on the deep blue sea on a point to point trip from Tivat to the old fishing village of Bigova.
The views back towards the mountains once we are a mile or so offshore are absolutely fantastic. This trip takes a full day (8 hours on the water) and you will travel from Tivat to Bigova - or the reverse itinerary - Bigova to Tivat.
Tivat to Bigova
We will sail/motor-sail from your pick up point, across the largest bays of the Boka, past the WWII submarine pens and into the mouth of the Boka Kotorska with a swimming stop en route.
The entrance to the bay is a particularly interesting spot due to the fortresses built on both the Croatian and Montenegrin sides of the bay. We sail right up to the Austro-Hungarian fortress island of Mamula and if time allows and crew are keen, we can take the kayak/dinghy and keen swimmers on over to the deserted island to explore the fortress.
We then have the choice of either sailing along the remote, unspoilt coastline of the Lustica Peninsula, via Blue Caves and anchor up at our secret beach in a tiny cove for lunch and swimming. Alternatively, we can head out to sea for an afternoon of sea-sailing and the magnificent views of the Montenegrin mountains which just get better and better the further you head out to sea.
Towards the end of the day we will head into the shelter of Bigova (Traste) Bay which is a small, old fishing village set in a gorgeous cove with crystal clear waters and a relaxed atmosphere. Here we will end the day by dropping anchor in time for a final swim and an incredible sunset over the mountains, with a drink in hand and a smile on your face.
We will take you to shore after sunset and there are 2 popular restaurants overlooking the sea in a beautiful setting where you can have dinner if you choose. Alternatively, we can arrange for a taxi to take you back to your accommodation (it is only a 20 minute drive from Tivat or Kotor and costs approximately €15 in a taxi).
Bigova to Tivat
A reverse itinerary will operate from Bigova to Tivat Bay, kicking off with an optional swim in the crystal clear waters of Bigova Bay before we haul anchor then the sails will be up and off we go. We will finish with sunset on the water near to your drop-off point (whether that be your accommodation or Porto Montenegro Marina). 
We can help you with travel arrangements to/from Bigova - there is a very reliable and trustworthy taxi company here that we can recommend.

Please note that, like all our trips, this is weather-dependent and we will alter the itinerary for a more suitable (and comfortable!) trip if there is a sea state. As we are offering this trip predominantly in July and August, the weather is usually fine and settled.
